The Chinese Medical Industrial and Technology Park (TCM) is an advanced scientific and industrial center built in collaboration with the Guangdong government and the Macau Special Region. The park sits on Hengchin Island, about 500 meters from Macau.

The park is the main center for the development of ancient Chinese medicine and natural medicine using the latest components of science and technology. Its main objectives are:

- Development of Chinese medicines to treat various diseases
- Establishing linkages between science and industry in the field of natural medicine
- Assist companies in marketing products internationally
- China-Macau cooperation in health and innovation

The park consists of several important parts:
- Main Research Building (R&D Center)
- Laboratory hospital for drug testing
- Exhibition hall to introduce new products
- Media Center for International Trade Support

The park is one of the most important centers of Chinese medicine in the world and has official status through China-Macau cooperation. The park will play a strategic role in introducing Chinese medicine to the world and bringing natural medicines to global markets.

The international team of Kurdistan Medical Science Organization (K.M.S.O) visits the Hengqin Pian Tze Huang Museum
On June 11, 2025, 28 accompanied by a delegation of faculty members and a student from the College of International Education of Guangzhou Southern Medical University explored the Hengqin Pian Tze Huang Museum, delving into the fusion of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) culture with modern technology.

Highlights:
1. “Three-in-One” Site: Visitors observed the integrated functioning of the museum, traditional pharmacy and TCM clinic. The historical trail showcased Pian Tze Huang’s 500-year heritage and its role as the “TCM symbol of the Maritime Silk Road”.

3. Educational Focus: Designed for youth and international students, the museum uses aromatic herb identification and medicinal specimen displays to enhance accessibility.

Industrial context: The museum is located in the Guangdong-Macau Deep Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, which is anchored by an industrial park that includes 56 Macau enterprises (43.75%). The “Hangchin Manufacturing + Macau Care” model will lead to global expansion, with Pian Tze Huang products going to markets like Mozambique and plans to expand into Portuguese-speaking countries like Brazil. This visit was an example of the Hengqin-Macau “Culture Promotion Medicine, Drug Production” collaboration.

The Zhuhai Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone, located in Hengqin Island, Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, is a key initiative jointly developed by the governments of Guangdong Province and the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR). Officially established in September 2021, the zone aims to promote diversified economic development in Macao and enhance regional integration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Covering an area of approximately 106 square kilometers, the Cooperation Zone follows a model of “joint planning, joint development, joint management, and shared benefits.” It is designed to support Macao’s industrial diversification by focusing on four major sectors: scientific and technological research and development, high-end manufacturing, traditional Chinese medicine, and cultural and tourism industries.

The zone enjoys preferential policies in taxation, customs clearance, and talent introduction, creating a high-level open platform to foster innovation, cross-border cooperation, and the integrated development of Macao with the mainland.

By strengthening infrastructure connectivity and institutional alignment, Hengqin serves as a bridge linking Macao with the vast mainland market, contributing to the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area.

Visit to Lutka Institute – Sulaimani Province

At the invitation of the Lutka Institute in Sulaimani Province, we organized a collaborative visit and meeting to explore and exchange insights on their vital contributions to the development of medical science and the healthcare sector. The visit aimed to understand how academic institutions can effectively bridge the gap between science and its social, economic, and clinical applications—especially in the post-graduation phase.

The Lutka Institute plays a significant role in preparing advanced medical professionals who contribute to societal strength and emergency health services. Their commitment to adapting to modern societal needs, fostering scientific innovation, and empowering students with real-world medical skills is commendable.

In our view, with its strong scientific foundation and vision, the Lutka Institute holds the potential to make a profound impact on the future of healthcare and medical education in the region.

Meeting with the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China

Today we held an important meeting to strengthen our relations with the Consulate General of the Republic of China. First we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Zhou Damin, Commercial Consul, Mr. Liu Jiahaw, Political Department.
In the course of the meeting, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Jamal Barzanji, President and Founder of the Organization, discussed the importance of strengthening joint work and coordination between us and further improving the work of the Kurdistan Medical Science Organization.
To serve the Kurdistan Region and Iraq in the future we will have many beautiful and joint programs that will change the teaching of courses and supervision and how to academic organizational work.

Mr. Zhou also spoke about the importance of the work of our organization and thanked the teams of the organization for their volunteer work to create a healthy and strong society and reaffirmed his support for Kurdistan Medical Science Organization.
