Mr. Hassan Sheikh Jamal Barzanji, President and Founder of K.M.S.O , participated in a broad meeting of the Presidency of the Office of NGOs with organizations in Sulaimani and Halabja provinces, and the two independent administrations of Raperin and Garmian.

The Presidency of the Office of NGOs of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) held a meeting in the presence of about 250 local and international organizations in Sulaimani and Halabja provinces, as well as the two autonomous administrations of Raperin and Garmian.
In the meeting, which was attended by a significant number of organizations, Falah Hassan, Head of the Office and Hardi Ahmad, Deputy Head of the Office explained the most important changes and facilities of the office to the participants that have been worked on during the past six months.
Future plans and programs were also explained to the participants.

An important part of the meeting was devoted to listening to the opinions, comments, remarks, criticisms and suggestions of all the NGOs present regarding the overall situation of the organizations and presenting the most important obstacles and challenges that face organizational work in these areas.
The head of the office promised to use all the capabilities of the office to create a favorable environment for the organizations to provide the best services to serve humanity and the country.
In the future, the Office of NGOs will continue to hold similar meetings in other parts of the Kurdistan Region to pay more attention to organizational work in our region

The speech reflected the richness of the Kurdish language and culture, translated eloquently for audiences across Asia to appreciate, and here’s the speech : Ladies and gentlemen, It is a privilege to stand before you today and deliver this speech on behalf of the Kurdish people. I am deeply honored to have this opportunity to share our story and aspirations with the esteemed participants of this seminar. The Kurdish people are one of the most ancient communities in the world, with a rich history dating back thousands of years. In fact, the village of Charmo in Kurdistan is recognized as the first agricultural village in human history, highlighting the profound contributions of our ancestors to civilization. However, the modern history of the Kurdish people has been marked by hardship and resilience. Following the end of World War I, Kurdistan was divided into four nations: Iraq, Iran, Turkey, and Syria. This division set the stage for decades of struggle, as the Kurdish people fought tirelessly through revolutions, civil movements, and armed resistance to secure their right to self-determination. Regrettably, the states that partitioned Kurdistan committed numerous crimes against our people, particularly in South Kurdistan. These atrocities include chemical attacks, the Anfal campaign, the mass burial of Barzani citizens, and the forced displacement and destruction of thousands of Kurdish villages and cities. Many of these acts qualify as international crimes against humanity. Despite these tragedies, the Kurdish people have demonstrated remarkable resilience. In 1991, they rose against the Ba’athist dictatorship in Iraq and successfully liberated South Kurdistan. In 1992, the first elections were held, and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) was established—a testament to the sacrifices of countless martyrs. The KRG began rebuilding a devastated Kurdistan with limited resources, striving to serve its citizens and lay the foundation for a brighter future. After the fall of the Iraqi regime, the Kurdistan Region was officially recognized as a federal entity within Iraq’s constitution. Today, the Kurdistan Region comprises four provinces—Erbil (the capital), Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, and Halabja—and enjoys a prominent position in the region and the Middle East. The Kurdistan Region has developed significant diplomatic and economic relations with global powers, including the People’s Republic of China. China’s pivotal role in global economic, trade, and diplomatic policy has fostered friendly and mutually beneficial ties with the Kurdistan Region. As we gather here today, I hope this visit will further strengthen economic and trade relations between the Kurdistan Region and China. We aspire to see Chinese companies play an instrumental role in the reconstruction and development of Kurdistan, contributing to the prosperity of our people. The global community recognizes China’s remarkable progress, particularly in the economic realm, and we are optimistic about the potential for deeper collaboration. What is the current level of the coronavirus in Kurdistan?

د. Saman Barzanji: Fortunately, the number of cases in Kurdistan is very low. I can say that there were very few or no admissions to hospitals that month, and the death rate was zero. This is encouraging, but it does not mean that we will stop, because we are still constantly testing suspects and treating those who are infected.

What has made the coronavirus not as dangerous as it used to be?

د. Saman Barzanji: The development of immunity plays a big role in preventing cases from being so dangerous. There are two ways in which the immunity is created. In addition, the virus, called Omicron, mutated and spread, which itself had an easy and moderate form with humans, unlike the one in August, which was very severe. These and the control of the virus in the world has reduced the impact of this virus, but we are constantly monitoring and testing for cases through our teams.

Are the hospitals and doctors reserved for coronavirus patients now the same or have they returned to normal?

د. Saman Barzanji: Many hospitals have returned to normal and there is only one hospital in each city to receive patients. These hospitals have not only been useful for coronavirus patients, because we have had cases such as hemorrhagic fever in these hospitals for treatment, so we have kept a private hospital in each city.

What is the level of the hemorrhagic epidemic in the Kurdistan Region and what have you done for this purpose?

د. Saman Barzanji: Hemorrhagic fever is not a new disease, but it has existed since ancient times, but it needs to be controlled because it is a dangerous disease with a high mortality rate of 50% Uncooked meat and fluids from animals that may be infected and have no symptoms, and are also transmitted to humans through feces. Therefore, it must be prevented by spraying and we have notified the Ministry of Agriculture two months ago and fortunately now our teams with veterinary teams in the Ministry of Agriculture are controlling it. We have specific procedures for identifying and isolating cases.

It is summer and there is another disease called nausea. Is it necessary to prepare for this disease or is it related to the change of seasons?

 د. Saman Barzanji: The nature of the disease is that nausea and vomiting increase in two waves every year, especially among children, this is natural and not a new and suspicious case and is currently under control and international standards The purpose has been taken and there are preventions and treatments. Of course, we also take cholera samples every year to make sure the disease is not spreading, so 10% to 20% of patients have stool tests in outpatient clinics to detect cholera cases, so that if there is, we can take different measures.

Have you made any preparations to control the monkeys if they reach the Kurdistan Region?

د. Saman Barzanji: This disease was not in the Middle East, it used to be in several African countries and other countries, but now it is more widespread. We are currently monitoring the situation and we receive daily reports from the World Health Organization.
