Visit the Discovery Department of Ancient Chinese Medicine: Pin Ze Huang Museum in Hengqin

The international team of Kurdistan Medical Science Organization (K.M.S.O) visits the Hengqin Pian Tze Huang Museum
On June 11, 2025, 28 accompanied by a delegation of faculty members and a student from the College of International Education of Guangzhou Southern Medical University explored the Hengqin Pian Tze Huang Museum, delving into the fusion of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) culture with modern technology.

Highlights:
1. “Three-in-One” Site: Visitors observed the integrated functioning of the museum, traditional pharmacy and TCM clinic. The historical trail showcased Pian Tze Huang’s 500-year heritage and its role as the “TCM symbol of the Maritime Silk Road”.

3. Educational Focus: Designed for youth and international students, the museum uses aromatic herb identification and medicinal specimen displays to enhance accessibility.

Industrial context: The museum is located in the Guangdong-Macau Deep Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, which is anchored by an industrial park that includes 56 Macau enterprises (43.75%). The “Hangchin Manufacturing + Macau Care” model will lead to global expansion, with Pian Tze Huang products going to markets like Mozambique and plans to expand into Portuguese-speaking countries like Brazil. This visit was an example of the Hengqin-Macau “Culture Promotion Medicine, Drug Production” collaboration.
