Danish pharmaceutical company Bavarian Nordic has signed a contract to supply 440,000 monkeypox vaccines to a European country.

Last week, the World Health Organization announced that the outbreak of a more dangerous strain of Imbox disease called Clyde 1B is now a global health emergency.

"The latest request is planned as part of our key guidelines for this year and will not affect the ability of governments and organizations to support the response to the global health emergency declared by the World Health Organization," Chaplin CEO Paul Chaplin said in a statement.
