The awards of the 29th Bosan International Film Festival have been announced

The awards of the 29th Bosan International Film Festival were presented in the presence of the jury members, filmmakers, film professionals and art enthusiasts at the 7th Cinema Center in the city Busan, South Korea.

The winners of the New Trends Competition, Kim Jise Ook Award, Mekenat Award, Sunje Award, Netpak Award, Fipershi Award and other categories were awarded.

Best Film in the New Trends Competition

The jury members of the New Trends competition were Mohammad Rasooloff, director and screenwriter from Iran; Katie Kosrot actress in India and also Ms Vatia Kalojersij, head of the Rotterdam International Film Festival in the Netherlands, announced their votes as follows:

The best film awards of this section of the festival, namely; The cash prize of $30,000 went to South Korea's Park Rae Wong's Country of Peace and Myanmar's Mao Naing's Ma South Ria, Singapore, France , Norway and Qatar.

Best Picture "Kim Jiseok Award"

The jury members of the Kim Jiseok Awards included; Christian June, head of the Cannes International Film Festival, chairman of the jury, Prasana Vitanaj, director from Sri Lanka, and Shin Sowon, director from South Korea announced as follows:

The best film awards in this category are; The cash prize of $10,000 will go to Rima Das's Village of Stars 2 and Taiwan's Yen and Ai-Li sh was done . . . .

Best Documentary Film Section "Mekenat Award" The jury members of the "Mekenat Award" section, in this round of the festival, who were; Mohsen Makhmalbaf, director, screenwriter and producer from Iran, Chairman of the Jury, Asako Fujioka, Vice President of the International Film Festival in Japan, and Lee Soojong, director from South Korea , announced their votes as follows:

The Best Korean and Asian Documentary Awards in this category, namely; The cash prize of $7,400 will go to the documentary "Works and Times" co-directed by Park Minso and Ahn Kim Hyun, Taiwan, and the documentary "Another House" co-directed by Frankie Sin Taiwan, Hong Kong , China and France.

 

Best Short Film "Sunje Award"

The jury members of the Sunje Award section of the 29th Bosan International Film Festival were; Director and screenwriter Lim Dae-Hyung from South Korea, director Constance Tsang from the United States and director Yamanaka Yoko from Japan announced their nominations as follows:

The awards for best Korean and Asian short films in this section of the festival are; The cash prize of $7,400 went to the short film "Yorim" directed by Song Jiseo of South Korea and "A Garden in Winter" directed by Al-Enure Mahmoodian and co-produced by Hiroshi Matsui Pon and France were presented . . . .

Best Picture "Fipershi Award"

The jury members of the International Federation of Film Critics' Fiperchi Awards were: Theresa Vincez, a university professor and film critic from Hungary, Hsin Wong, a film critic from Taiwan, and Suwoon Ri, a film critic from South Korea, won the best film award for The Story of the Country Bringing "Loelo Hindra, a joint production of Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Qatar.

Best Film "Netpack Award"

The jury members of the Asia-Pacific Cinema Development Network's Netpack Awards included Japanese director Igarasha Kuhai; Ljika and Ms. Kim Myung, the director In South Korea, the best film award went to Park Ri-Wong's Land of Peaceful Morning.

"Cinema Fans Award"

Members of the student jury in the Open Corner competition section of the film event, which consisted of students from various film-related departments from six universities in Busan, announced the best Korean and Asian documentaries of the festival as follows:
