The Finance Committee warns the Iraqi Finance Minister

"Iraq's reliance on oil revenues has created an unstable economy," the Finance Committee of the Iraqi House of Representatives said in a meeting with Taif Sami.

The Finance Committee of the Iraqi House of Representatives hosted the Minister of Finance, the head of the customs and taxes and discussed the financial situation in Iraq.

"Relying solely on oil revenues has made Iraq an unstable economy," Atwan Atwani, chairman of the Iraqi Finance Committee, said at the meeting.

"The instability in the Iraqi economy has disrupted the Iraqi economic development plan," he said.

According to a joint statement issued by the Finance Committee and the Iraqi Ministry of Finance, both sides agreed to pay attention to non-oil revenues and increase their size in total revenue.
